A medium-sized cutting and serving board, perfect for charcuterie boards, cheese platters, or as a hard-working everyday kitchen board.

Our Craft
At Brierley Wood Shed, we hand-turn quality timber into functional kitchenware and homeware — wooden serving boards, charcuterie boards, bowls, vases and pestle-and-mortar sets. Each piece tells a story of craftsmanship, sustainability and timeless beauty.
Every piece is carefully crafted by hand with attention to detail and quality.
We use recycled and responsibly sourced timber to minimise environmental impact.
Each creation is made with love and dedication to the craft of woodworking.
Finished with premium Odie's Oil for durability and a beautiful natural look.
Eddy White · Woodworker, Nottinghamshire
I’m a woodworker based in Nottinghamshire. I’ve been making things with wood since I was small — the earliest thing I can remember making was a toy boat with my grandad in his cellar. From there I’ve made everything from a table for my home to new wardrobes, and now serving boards, bowls and vases that find their way into homes across the country.
“Woodworking is my passion, and now my third love — after my wife and children.”
Each piece is turned by hand from quality timber — English oak, ash, cherry, sapele, maple and beech — with a lot of pieces coming from recycled wood that might otherwise go to waste. Everything is finished with premium Odie’s Oil for a durable, food-safe finish that brings the grain to life.

Good to Know
Everything you might want to know about our handcrafted wooden serving boards, bowls, vases and pestle-and-mortar sets — from food-safe finishes to custom orders.
Brierley Wood Shed is a one-person woodturning workshop in Nottinghamshire. Eddy White hand-makes wooden serving boards, charcuterie and cheese boards, hand-turned bowls, ash twig vases and pestle-and-mortar sets. Despite the name, it isn’t a garden-shed maker — “the Wood Shed” is simply the name of the workshop.
Yes. Every piece is finished with Odie’s Oil, a natural, food-safe finish that brings out the grain and protects the wood. The serving boards, chopping boards, bowls and pestle-and-mortar sets are all safe for everyday food use.
Hand-wash with warm water and a little mild soap, then dry it straight away — never put a wooden board or bowl in the dishwasher or leave it soaking. Every now and then, re-oil it with a food-safe board oil (or Odie’s Oil) to keep the timber nourished and water-resistant.
Pieces are turned from quality timber including English oak, ash, cherry, sapele, maple and beech. Many come from recycled or storm-felled wood that would otherwise go to waste — such as the ash twig vases turned from a tree brought down by Storm Agnes.
Yes — custom and personalised commissions are very welcome. Eddy regularly makes engraved serving boards for weddings and anniversaries, custom-sized chopping boards and one-off bowls. Send a message through the contact form or on Facebook to start a commission.
